The Path to Advocacy encourages and recognizes you in the EmpowHER community for the support you give to others and the difference you are making in someone else's life.

Your encouraging words and support matter to others who may have been or are currently in a similar situation as you. Find and connect with others like you by contributing your thoughts and letting them know they are not alone.

By participating in the Path to Advocacy program, you will receive points every time you contribute on EmpowHER.com—from filling out your profile, to creating posts or commenting on a post, to rating an article. Once you receive enough points in the required areas, you will be able to move up to the next advocacy level, which will be marked on your profile and wherever your profile information appears. A unique aspect about the program is that the community also gets to help you move forward to the next level by voting and ranking your contributions. In fact, getting your contributions "rated" by other members factors in to your overall score.

Why you should participate:

• Lending your support may lead another to take action
• Participation points towards a badge are displayed on your profile

  This is the top level and means that you have been active to the highest degree and are highly regarded as an advocate (leader) in your health or wellness community! This level of achievement shows your passion and dedication to improving health and changing lives. You will be called out as an Advocate in your health or wellness topic in that particular community page. Just like a guide and moderator, this is how much your contributions are valued on EmpowHER and your community.

• Champion

  You haven't achieved this in any topic yet

  This means that you have become a dedicated community member. You are engaged and seek opportunities to help others by sharing and providing support to those in need. Your contributions are important and the community is also helping you out by rating your SHARES, comments and Group threads.

• Supporter

  You haven't achieved this in any topic yet

  Reaching this level is all about sharing, learning and connecting with other women. You're focused on just a few conditions and topics that you're really interested in and are trying to help others that need your support to help pave your way to next level.

• Empowered

  You haven't achieved this yet

  This is the first level of the advocacy program. It's easy to get started. Simply complete your user profile, select your conditions of interest, create or join a Group, ASK a question or SHARE your story. The more you contribute and engage on the site the more activity points you will earn to move to the next level.
