However, joint pain is also a symptom of infectious diseases including Epstein-Barr viral syndrome, Lyme disease, Hepatitis, Influenza, Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Chicken pox. Injuries, such as a fracture or tendinitis, cause joint pain.
