I have been having 3week-1 month long periods w/ large clots. What could be causing the length and clots? Should I worry?

I'm 29 yrs. old and I've been having periods that last anywhere between 3 weeks and 1 month with about a 2 week break between each period. Along with my period I have huge clots. This has been happening since I had my daughter in 2006. I saw a doctor about it and he just put me on birth control pills to try and regulate it, but that just caused me to have blood clots in my lungs. I went on Coumadin and my period was normal while I was on the meds. Now I'm off Coumadin and my period went back to being long again and with the huge clots. Is there something my doctors should be testing for?

Should I wear a bra all the time?

I know this sounds like a really odd question but when I was growing up, wearing a bra all the time (including in bed) was considered unhealthy. I'm not even sure why!

Now that I have breastfed several children and am a grown woman, I read that it's actually good for breast support and to keep breasts as, well, perky as possible!

I tend to be more comfortable with as much support as possible and tend to always wear a bra (cute ones!)unless I am in the shower -or fooling around but I won't realy go there :)

Is this ok? Why would it not be?

Im fourteen years old, please some answer my question. My boyfriend and I were laying on my bed on our sides facing eachother, and he was dry humping me (he was not ontop of me), but his penis was not completely touching my vagina. I also had clothes on, underwear and sweatpants, when he was about to ejectulate (SP) he told me to move away, so i rolled over onto my back so he could; and he did on my sheets. But what i have heard about and am most worried about it pre-ejectulation or something like that. Even if he did "pre-ejectulate" i dont think his penis was near my "hole".

How much sleep do we really need?

hi -

I have a relative who claims that people only need 5-6 hours of sleep but I disagree. I get about 6 hours but I'm trying to get more. When I get a solid 8 hours, I feel great - it makes such a difference to my day! 6 or less has me dragging...

I think we need more or less sleep depending on our age, our health, our activity levels and other variables. Or is it true that we really only need about 6 hours a night?

Does anyone have reoccuring hives?

One of my close girlfriends had a bad case of hives last summer (had to be on antibiotics, steroids, and I forgot what else). She was under a lot of stress finshing up her law degree and studying for the bar exam.

Now, a year later, she's passed the bar, has a job, and consequently, has less stress in her life (or, at least a different type!)... and her hives have returned! She is extremely frustrated, and is wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Also, she's wondering if the hives were never really caused by "excess stress" in the first place?

thanks!

I have heard of pet-therapy, music-therapy, equine-therapy (in addition to all of the more "traditional" or "well-known" therapy and counseling), but have you ever heard of horticultural-therapy? Does it work? How does it work?

Have SARS and bird flu been eradicated?

I remember at one time (a few years ago) when it was all that health news reports talked about!

Are we still at risk?
