Dr. Carson Liu shares how a woman can learn if she is a good candidate for bariatric surgery.
Dr. Liu:
An easy way is to go online and figure out your Body Mass Index. So your Body Mass Index will need to be around 35 and higher with medical illness or 40 and higher if you do not have any medical illnesses. You should have tried medical weight loss for three to six months at some point in your life, hopefully in the last two years, and then come and make an appointment to see us for further evaluation.
