Anna:

My health was bordering. I mean I had some health issues in the sense where I had my doctor was definitely on me to get my weight under control that could help other health factors that I had. And through the course of doing the procedure and until now obviously my health, my health has improved. I mean with the hundred pound weight loss that I had.

The health factors, the other peripheral health factors I had are slowly being diminished. The most obvious changes were my energy. I had, I actually required less sleep. Mentally I think my outlook has changed, emotionally.

The procedure definitely changed because I had the gastric so I changed my body, right, just the procedure in itself. But there are other peripheral changes that I didn’t account for from having this surgery, the changes mentally, emotionally that come as a result from the surgery and that I think kind of encompasses the changes.

It’s like full circle. It’s not just I had the surgery; I have lost the weight. It was all the other things that I think before the surgery, being overweight and being obese, you know your self-esteem, the depression, the outlook that you have, how you kind of beat yourself up.

I think I am harder on myself than anybody could ever be on me or say to me and all of those things just kind of one-by-one are addressed as for me, after I had the surgery and that was the catalyst for me to like tackle those different areas of my life because, you know, it was just like that one step, just kind of like splintered into all these areas.
