Shannon:

Before I had the gastric bypass with Dr. Dahiya, obviously I had weighed 260 pounds, lost 105, and I think that the biggest thing is obviously my eating habits have changed and I don’t feel like I’ll ever go back. Like I feel like I have got this conquered now.

I think that before every diet I have ever been on, I was like a right now, right here right now type of thing where I would eat right and I knew as soon as I lost the weight that I was going to go back to doing exactly what I was doing before, and this time, completely different.

Now I feel my eating habits are completely different and the way that I feel and the feel about myself and the more confidence that I have, just walking in a door or walking in a room and seeing people, and seeing people I haven’t seen in a long time and they are just like ”Oh my gosh!” because they hadn’t seen me at that weight probably since I was in my 20s. So, this just has been life-changing for me.

This weight loss experience is different because it was successful and it continued to be successful. So, I get that it’s only been ten months, but it feels like it’s been my whole life and I feel like I can go on from here and just keep going and doing exactly the same thing and stay at the same weight.
