Dr. Wang describes when a woman can engage in sexual activity after having cervical spine fusion surgery.

Dr. Wang:
You can probably do that immediately. We give patients a cervical collar. if their bone is of good quality, because we typically use fixation inside the spine into the bones, we typically don’t have to wear that for more than three or four days, if at all. If they wear the collar, it does protect the neck and so they can start having sex very early on, within the first week.
