How Does An Interdisciplinary Approach Improve A Woman's Spinal Care? - Dr. Kam Raiszadeh (VIDEO)

Dr. Raiszadeh:

The interdisciplinary center pulls together all of the experts in the hospital that treat spine and pulls them all onto one floor. So this floor only involves spine specialists, including spine doctors as well as nurses, physical therapists–all honed into only spine problems.

And that’s unique because spine is an entity into itself. If you don’t take the spine as a whole, then you could miss a better approach to treating a patient by having one subspecialist who doesn’t really know what other options are available for that patient to be able to direct them into the right pathway.

About Dr. Raiszadeh, M.D.:
Kam Raiszadeh, MD, serves as medical director of the Advanced Spine Institute & Minimally Invasive Spine Center at Alvarado Hospital. Dr. Raiszadeh is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and an active member of the Scoliosis Research Society and North American Spine Society.
