Francine:

I wasn’t going to have the procedure with someone who did not know as much as I did about my own body because one thing I did not want to do is make myself worse. And I was in a lot of pain, and I even got so far, I mean, I put it off for two years because I really wanted to see, first, I tried meds and then I discovered that the meds hurt your stomach, and the meds are no good for you. They have all kinds of side effects.

So then, I just kept on doing physical therapy, trying to get the muscle groups to support the joint, and in the meantime, I think I caused the joint to deteriorate further because I waited, but I wasn’t ready.
