Michele Shares Her Motivation For Starting An Ovarian Cancer Support Group (VIDEO)

Michele:

I was really inspired by meeting other women during chemotherapy and hearing their stories and then, started doing little pieces of awareness work over about a year’s time before I met Annette, and then when I met Annette at this, the wellness community, she was speaking about Ovarian Cancer National Alliance's national agenda, and I and another friend went and we were just really inspired by what she had to say. We didn’t know that there was this national agenda. I think it was something that they had just announced, and everything that she talked about was exactly what my friend Heather and I had been talking about that needed to be done in the Phoenix area.

So, really was just inspired by Annette’s attitude and her knowledge and thought we can work together to help women in Arizona be diagnosed early, and if they are diagnosed, to help them live better and hopefully help the medical community be more informed about ovarian cancer.
