Hello,nice to meet you all.
I had my thyroids removed just over a year a go,I have had trouble getting the meds right but slowly getting there.
I had Mirena IUD removed a few months ago after having it over 4 years,(I had it to control heavy bleeding)I found out it was the cause of a lot of my medical problems, weight gain, cysts on my left ovary, breast lump, and my thyroid being removed, now I am trying to get my hormones sorted out after Mirena mucked them up totally.

My Mother has problems with her stomach that causes her stomach to actually increase in size over two times. She has severe pain that makes activities of daily living very uncomfortable.
She has tried everything over the counter to include things like Gas-Ex.
If anyone has any ideas, that would be great. Her doctor actually told her that it is normal. WHAT? I could not believe that myself because I do not have these same issues.
Thanks for your help!

Ovarian cancer often progresses quietly and advances to incurable stages. But there are a few questions you can ask yourself to assess warning signs and discover if you may be at risk.
This week, researchers at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center showed six key symptoms and a blood test, help improve the early detection of ovarian cancer by 20 percent, according to findings published online in the journal Cancer. (Source: New York Times

I have a friend who just emailed me and is suffering from IBS. I asked her the following questions...
-is it worse around your period
-have you been diagnosed with endometriosis
-do you suffer from diarrhea and or constipation or both
-do you have thyroid issues
-ever had a hysterctomy
She's asked me what the drug was that I took for spasming of the colon?
I will reply, once she answers my questions.
Best in health,
Michelle

What are the chances? Apparently our family is a bit of an anomoly.
It all started when I rushed my 19 year old daughter to emergency one morning. I was on my way to work when I got a call on my cell phone. My daughter was very distressed, in a huge amount of pain and had rectal bleeding - could I take her to the hospital? I turned my car around - raced home and was shocked to see the pain she was in.
