Lower Abdominal Cramping

For about 3 or 4 weeks now I have had this cramping pain in my lower abdomen. I finally went to the gyn about a week and a 1/2 and she said that my uterus is slightly enlarged and to come back in 3 weeks for a sonogram. Well in the mean time my period has started and the pain is worse than ever. Yesterday I doubled over in pain and took some tylenol which dulled it enough to make it through the day. My period is really heavy and I have even had to start taking iron because I was anemic for a while. I just keep taking tylenol to help me through the day but that is getting old.

I was on my way to work when I got a call on my cell phone. My daughter was very distressed, in a huge amount of pain and had rectal bleeding - could I take her to the hospital? I turned my car around - raced home and was shocked to see the pain she was in.
