The medical community is still reeling Friday over news that a 9-year-old girl from Greece had a two-inch growth -- believed to be her twin embryo -- removed from her stomach.

"It is a very rare situation to have an embryo inside a twin. I cannot recall anything like that in my practice over the years. I have only heard about it through medical literature,” said Dr. Kathy Anderson, an Obstetrician and Gynecologist located in Costa Mesa, Calif.

I guess I sort of have a question for whoever is willing to advise. My best friend has been sexually active for a while but is afraid of going to see a gynecologist. I go annualy and continually try to tell her how important it is.

We are juniors in college but she lives an hour from home and could go to a doctor near her home. She keeps saying that it is not that neccesary but I know it is! Is there any way for me to convince her to go with out stepping on her toes or crossing the boundaries?
