I was reading the news link on Empowher, regarding the moral objections to the HPV vaccination.
Many parents will not allow their girls to have the vaccination because they believe it will encourage them to have sex. Since behaviors like smoking leads to cancers, so having sex leads to HPV. Both are behaviors that are preventable, say the objectors to this vaccine.
Kimberly Martinez, executive director of the Abstinence Clearinghouse, a nonprofit group that advocates teaching children not to have sex rather than to have safe sex.

The saying goes,"The silence is deafening." No more. A brave filmmaker, herself a victim of gang rape, wanted to share her story with victims in the Congo (DRC). Little was Lisa Jackson prepared for the horrific stories she would capture on camera. Her independent documentary film, "The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo," aired on HBO just last week and I cannot describe how it made me feel. If ever you find yourself complaining about life, think of these women who are so violently brutalized with impunity that they suffer, or die, from unimaginable internal wounds.

I am growing more and more frustrated at girls of all ages who don't respect their body and throw themselves at men to feel desired and better about themselves. There are so many more ways to boost your self-esteem and confidence than opening yourself up to such scary and undesirable things like VD and pregnancy.
I know some girls who don't think kissing a guy and sleeping with him are any different. There are huge differences! The consequences and risks are dramatically different- not alone the emotional repercussions.
