TUESDAY, Aug. 19 (HealthDay News) -- Yearly changes in a person's performance on cognitive testing may be associated with dementia, new research suggests.
Using a newly developed model to assess the effect of variations in a person's score from year to year, researchers found that just a one point change in variability on cognitive test scores could indicate as much as a fourfold increase in the risk of developing dementia.

I'm not sure how much a man makes by donating his sperm but I think the going rate is somewhere around $50 a pop, give or take.
A woman, however, can make thousands by donating a single egg.
I have read many ads in journals and magazines in my town, looking for women to donate their eggs. The pay range is anywhere from $5000 to $10000 - certainly nothing to sneeze at.
According to CNN, "As the nation's economy is slumping, some fertility clinics say interest in donating has surged.

Yesterday was National HIV Testing Day. Americans, especially between the ages of 13-64 are encouraged to get tested for HIV in an effort to have everyone ultimately tested for this disease that often leads to death if not diagnosed and treated.
The bad news is that HIV/AIDS still has no cure, and although many people are living healthy lives after an HIV diagnosis, the reality is that many will succumb to the disease of AIDS - particularly poorer individuals who may have no access to health care and may not even know they have HIV in the first place (and thus spreading the virus).
