This surgery that I had changed my life in several ways; one of the ways that stands out most to me is that I, during my life, never really asked for help from anybody. That wasn’t, that wasn’t me. I would be there for my friends and I would help my friends anyway I could and they all knew that, but I never asked for help from my family or friends really. But, I had to do that and my friends and family came through – that was something that was big for me during this.

Another feeling that came forward from this surgery was that, you are very vulnerable to illness and things and then the aftermath that comes forward with that and you want to deal with that the best that you can and you don’t want to disrupt things, but it just happens that it does.

It makes things important that weren’t important as before. You realize, it’s like what a lot of people say they realized what is important to them and what isn’t so important and what you can do without maybe as not as readily as you thought you could.
