If I was talking to a woman who was about to start dialysis, and I am sure she must be feeling some fears, I would say, “Just get started. Think about your future because it’s all going to change. It’s going to help you. It’s going to make you feel much better. Sometimes you may not realize how badly you feel until you get started and so, if you can just get started because it’s important, it’s going to be important for your children, your family that you are alive and you are around and so, get started on it and your fears will slowly melt away."
