Liver Cleanses are often a good ritual to do annually or bi-annually. Most traditional MD's say that you never have to detox the liver, that it has the capacity to detox all on it own...and that is partly true. The liver is a remakable organ whose main task is to detoxify, the problem is that when we compare our lifestyles and diets to that of 100 years ago, we comsume many more artifical colors/flavors/preservatives and are exposed to many more environmental factors that people just didn't have to deal with before 1950. The liver hasn't had time to adapt to our changed lifestyle and therefore could use a little cleanse now and then.

So, yes, I think that liver detox if often necessary and can really help all sorts of ailments (headaches, allergies, fatigue, arthritis, pms ect.)

Your best bet is to do a detox with the suppervision of a naturopathic physician, who can actually tailor one for you. Products that contain "detoxification factors" are more beneficial. Although the Master Cleanser does work, it is harder to comply with...you need to do it for at least 7-10 days.
