There are dozens of choices, at just as many price points. I've not had a great deal of success with pedometers; however, I just bought one by Gaiam that I have yet to try.
As far as a HRM for fitness, you can find a chronograph with one. Models and prices vary widely. There's a type that gives you a simple reading, basically your heart rate on demand; and there are those that require a band around your chest that sends a reading to your wrist device.
Polar and Timex make fitness watches that combine interval timers, calorie burn calculators and a heart rate monitor. Expect to pay $100+. Mio also makes one that does not require a chest band.

As a distance runner, I use a Garmin and a HRM, probably way too much technology for the daily, non-competitive walker.
