IMALBY, I have also known people with Alzheimer's and for me, frankly it was difficult to see. To share how prevalent Alzheimer's has become, in June of this year, the Centers for Disease Control stated that Alzheimer's had become the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. Here's a few other statistics about the condition:

As many as 5.2 million people in the United States are living with Alzheimer’s.

• 10 million baby boomers will develop Alzheimer's in their lifetime.

• Every 71 seconds, someone develops Alzheimer’s.

Given such mind-boggling numbers, I think it's wonderful you're trying to raise awareness about this condition. Can you talk about how you feel given it runs in your family?

I would like to hear how your walk went and how else you're advocating for people with Alzheimer's. I'm sure women have much to gain from your knowledge. Thanks IMALBY.
