Keep in mind that Gatorade, and similar sports drinks, are really meant to replace electrolytes expended through physical exertion, like a run, hard workout, or whatever. If you're not sweating out your electrolytes, you really haven't lost anything that needs replacing.
Personally, I'd rather make my own juice than drink stuff made from concentrate (I have a juicer and citrus reamer); but, sometimes, it's just more convenient to buy the concentrate.
We also almost always have tonic water on hand, instead of sodas, and we like to make our own Italian "soda" (basically tonic water and lemonade or pomegranate juice). It's also good in iced, fresh ginger tea (brewed with fresh ginger).
