Oh....you all put me to shame!

In my office, I was the one who was known as "Mikey" (was he from the Life cereal commercials?), because you could hear in the hallway, "Hey, Alison likes it!". So, needless to say, I was not a picky eater and would eat whatever was being offered, usually leftover pizza, cookies and cake from a birthday party.

And, watch out if anyone had breakfast tacos!

In my office, I worked with a woman who was a registered dietitian, and another women who was a marathoner. I'm sure they wondered about my eating habits, but how can you resist temptation?! I guess they found a way, because they both brought in their own lunch. I just thought they were missing out on "the good stuff".

When I am at home, I eat healthier snacks (guacamole, salsa, pita chips, fruit, rice pudding, hot tea), and it is usually the quantity that "gets me". I can not have cookies in the house, or I eat five-a-day (because I'm here all day!), but if there is good-tasting, spicy and healthy snacks, I will eat those instead...so a lot of planning has to go into my weekly meals and snacks.

Any advice on how you plan for healthy snacks (namely, because they are more perishable than their non-healthy counterparts!)
