Your doctor would probably refer you to a rheumatologist, or at least have you go through a battery of blood tests to determine whether or not you have lupus. When I was tested, the process was to rule out other conditions until the diagnosis could be made. Then, my rheumatologist took charge of my treatment program, coordinating my primary physician with my other specialists.
As far as copying the recorded episode, it's not legal. It's also unlikely the network would make the episode available on demand to a viewer; however, you might see if your doctor's office could request a copy. Some networks make their programs available to schools or other institutions for educational purposes.
