Breast cancers in women who are in their 20s and 30s -- especially the hormonally fed cancers -- seem so virulent and aggressive.
My sister's best friend has been fighting breast cancer for 4 years now; she is 36 now, i think. She found a lump just a couple months after a mammogram, and said it seemed to grow "overnight." She has since had a double mastectomy (as did Applegate) and has fought her way into a fourth remission.
