It sounds to me like you have a UTI, and they best way to not get these is prevention!!! Keep these hints in mind to keep it from happening next time.
Urinate before and after sex (especially after) This will clean out the urethra (the tube you pee out of) During sex germs can get pushed up there. You can also was yourself afterward.
Have your partner was their hands to decrease the amount of germs that get down there.
If you start to get UTI's a lot you can take cranberry pills to help.
To get the current infection and if you get another fixed you need to see your provider for antibiotics.
