I am 20 years old, female. My father has a-fib,CHF, a pacemaker and defibrillator. Back in February I fainted and went to the ER, they told me to follow up with a cardiologist, but I didn't have insurance at the time. I recently got it and finally went. I wore a holter monitor for 48 hours, results showed a bunch of things. My rhr ranged from 42bpm to 176bpm, 21 hours of sinus tachycardia and 7 hours of sinus bradycardia. I could literally feel my heart in my chest, get so dizzy to the point I would throw up, chest pains, shortness of breath when I wasn't even doing anything, my feet have been so swollen - 1-2+ pitting edema.. I'm now on metropolol (I don't know if I spelled it correctly). My dad, being on the same medication has me concerned because he has history of heart attacks starting from when he was 30. I recently was reminded I had scarlet fever as a toddler and I know that could be one of the reasons my hearts like this.
