I am sorry this is such a big deal. Why do any of you get to decide what someone can and can't do with their own body? Its along the lines of your nosy neighbor saying that you can only take showers between 2:00 and 3:00 am, with the lights off. I personally would not appreciate the interference in what I do, or not do.
Some of you said its appalling and self destructive to the woman's rights movement. I believe that it is quite the opposite. 10-20 yrs ago this never would have happened. Now here is a woman with "the balls" to go out and do some thing as drastic as this and she gets shunned for not conforming to societies ideas of womanliness. Sure equal rights, but only if you follow these guidelines. Where have we seen that? The catholic church, the basis of communism, and also during the segregation.
I personally believe in a form of Darwinism. Stupidity is bound to fail, unless supported by the smart. If she wants to do this and gets hurt, or worse then we no longer need to worry about her kids attempting this. On the other hand should she be smart enough to pull this off safely then there is one more smart successful person in the world that just made money on a, quite literally, once in a lifetime offer.
