Thank you for your comment. I had both and got rid of the elliptical for a treadmill which I use more often. I have a ProSoft model and it is excellent for a beginner. The more expensive the treadmill, the thicker the belt is. Mine is a smaller belt but has all the amenities. Mine was approximately $400.
