What strikes me is that acai berries have been around for a long time, but we on the "northerly side" of the rainforest are only now beginning to learn their healthful benefits.
I wonder what the cancer rate was among ancient Romans, who loved their wine and spread the vitis vinifera (common grape vine) across their "modern world."
We've polluted ourselves so much with our chemical preservatives, fertilizers, et cetera that we're finding hope in old world botanicals and such. Amazing!
