I am one of the million self-employed Americans with no health insurance. Because I am 58 the costs are
too high for me. Due to the high costs of preventative care I have not had regular check ups and have not had a colonoscopy. Well I am grateful that I appear to be healthy. I recently developed concerns in my
bowel habits and have tried to correct them to no avail. I cannot afford screening that is constantly advertised and promoted by hospitals, news etc. While I appreciate being made aware what good does it do to have knowledge and no means.
