You might be on to something.

The NCCAM (National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine) is currently researching Ganoderma spores for their antiviral/antitumor effects. It has long been known that mushrooms can enhance immune response (which contributes to their antitumor property, according to the Journal of Nutrition). For instance, white button mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus) in a study done on mice in March 2008, showed that these mushrooms enhanced the defense mechanism of the immune system.

Honestly, I find posts automatically suspicious when someone claims "this one herb/drug/treatment/ointment can cure everything!", and I hope other women and consumers of health do as well! What are some important pieces of information that is missing (for our readers?): dosage (quantity and frequency of using substance for health benefits), side effects, other drug interactions (something that is potent enough to help is also potent enough to harm), contraindications, and how to use substance (orally, topically, etc).

Linda, if you are interested in sharing your excitement, I would love for you to provide some more information (instead of "challenging others to do research") as to what studies have shown are the potential positive effects (as well as the side effects) of Ganoderma. That would make your testimony that much more credible, and, (sorry to say), not sound like you are trying to sell a product (in combination with your user name and claim).

Thanks--I look forward to hearing more information and learning something new!
