I have been searching for someone with a similar problem as mine. I had 2 lumpectomies exactly a year ago. I finished radiation in late August. My affected breast is incredibly tender when I am hugged or when I just barely touch the area. It is not located close to my incision but rather on the opposite side of my breast. My mammogram in December was clear and I had an ultrasound done yesterday and that was clear as well. My surgeon is going to schedule me for an MRI and if that comes back negative, then we are going to treat the symptoms (pain.) I, too saw some articles on PBTPS. The peculiar and concerning thing for me (and thus the ultrasound and possible MRI) is that the pain has not always been there since finishing radiation. It didn't start until about 3-4 months afterward. I don't seem to have limited movement (although I do feel some stretching at times.) Is this something we just have to live with?
Thanks,
Shelley
