Dear Anon, thanks for such an interesting question. Last Oct, 2008, one of our experts posted a nice video on the use of Deribose and CoQ10. I suggest you watch it.

Primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) is a form of liver disease that over time can lead to cirrhosis. Someone with a diagnosis of PBC should exercise caution before adding supplements or herbs to the diet as you may force the liver to process substances (even if these are nutritional supplements) that can risk proper functioning. I would make sure to consult a physician before starting using any supplements.

Because people with PBC have a high risk of getting osteoporosis, you should have periodic bone mineral density scans. Your doctor may suggest that you take calcium and vitamin D supplements. Diet changes should include fresh fruits and vegetables that contain anti-oxidants that help protect the immune system.
