The report states that of those surveyed, in this study, the prevalence of sexual abuse from the validated questionnaires was 36%; the prevalence of childhood sexual abuse among the sample was 21% and the prevalence of physical abuse among the sample was 31%.
A key point of the report that is relevant to this thread is the following:
"The larger question to this study is whether abuse leads to the development of IC. This study does not answer the question."
