I am 21, just moved to Colorado, and would love to be out hiking and adventuring with my roommates, classmates, etc. Instead I am stuck avoiding exertion and heat. This weekend I went on a hike that was wonderful, and I thought I was being careful not to overheat (got a cooling towel for my neck, camelback so I can carry more water comfortably) but on the drive home I started getting hit and by the time I got to my house it was all I could do to get inside and crawl into bed. Cue nausea, hot and cold sweats, and wanting to lie perfectly still because that's the only way the pain in my head fades. This started in the last few years for me. I am so grateful to have found this forum. I hate my body for doing this to me, and it is some relief to know that it's not just me. You have given me hope that I might not suffer this for the rest of my life, and I am going to see a doctor soon to hopefully find a medical solution. Living in Colorado I have tried self-medicating with marijuana but the one time I've tried so far it just made me more nauseous.
