This allows you to test 4-5 days prior to when your period would start. Another option would be to go see the doctor and do a blood test. This is even more sensitive however best just to
wait it out like the rest of us ;) Wait until your are a few days away from your AF and then take a sensitive test. Take it first thing in the morning as the HCG levels are highest at that point. In the meantime take care of your body and take a multi-vitamin that has folic acid. This will help your baby's developing spine (if you are pregnant). It will not hurt you if you are not. Always good to take care of your body at any rate ;)

Thank you for your post. You are right, that if a woman suspects she is pregnant, and is experiencing bleeding of any type, she needs to talk with her doctor right away, as it could be called a "spontaneous abortion" (more commonly referred to as a "miscarriage") or "loss of pregnancy".

Wilkai ...and anybody else with heavy clotted bleeding when pregnancy is expected....please visit a doctor...you could be having a 'missed abortion'. This is when the foetus has been aborted due to any reason within the womb...the uterus starts expelling the aborted foetus...clots, heavy bleeding and a period that lasts longer than 10 days, altogether are signs.

It seems impossible to tell right now -- for absolute sure -- what's going on. I would have to say that my instinct would still be to tell you that you're not pregnant, due to the amount of bleeding you've had and the fact that it's right about the time your period should come.

The sickness may be unrelated -- you might be getting a flu bug at the same time you're worried about pregnancy.

Or they could, possibly, be related, and you could possibly be pregnant. Can you buy a home pregnancy test and test to find out for sure?
