Dear Samian, I am glad you asked this question as it will allow our EmpowHer readership to learn more about this wonderful massage. First of all, Lymphatic massage is considered a highly specialized type of massage. It involves a kneading technique on a large body surface. The massage therapist will use precise, complex hand movements that will stimulate drainage of lymph fluids.

According to Linda Page's best selling book: Healing Healhty, this type of massage will stimulate the body's natural antibiotic properties because increases lymph flow and stimulates antibodise productions. This massage also helps with balancing the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems to protect the body from stress. The goal of this massage is to drain the lymph fluids and flash out toxins.

When selecting a practitioner or massage therapist make sure she/he has had a formal training on lymphatic massage.
