I have had severe hair loss. One month after taking Alendronate, I noticed thinning of the back of my head. I now cut my hair into a butch cut... It fell out that much. I am discontinuing this medication. My doctor said if I don't keep getting blood tests for my calcium levels, this medicine could give a shock to my body. I don't want to break my bones, but don't need internal organ damage, either.
