Hi, Anon, and thank you for your question. Welcome to EmpowHer!

So your period went from about June 22 to June 29, and you had unprotected sex on July 1, is that right?

That would have been Day 9 of your cycle. Yes, it's possible that you could get pregnant on Day 9; it depends on how long your cycles are and whether you were ovulating yet.

How many days are your normal cycles? 26? 28? 30? Do you know?

And do you remember whether your cervical mucus was clear and stretchy, like egg whites? That's also a sign of ovulation. (When you are not ovulating, your cervical mucus is more cloudy and sticky).

Spotting is sometimes a sign of implantation, but it wouldn't happen that fast. In order to become pregnant, the sperm has to travel up through the vagina, uterus and fallopian tubes, meet the egg, fertilize it, and then the embryo has to travel down to the uterus and implant. That can actually take days, not hours. So the spotting you had during sex would have just been a small amount of bleeding caused by something else, most likely.

Are you hoping to become pregnant? Or hoping not to be?
