Hi, Anon, and welcome to EmpowHer. I'm glad you found us, and thank you for your question!

You say your boyfriend hadn't ejaculated yet when the condom broke. That's a good thing. I assume you immediately either stopped what you were doing and replaced the condom?

There is a chance you could be pregnant if any of your boyfriend's pre-ejaculate escaped into your vagina. But it seems like it was quite late in your cycle. Here's how the dates look if your cycle is normally 28 days long:

Last period:
June 8th (that's Day 1)
Probable ovulation: Somewhere between June 15-25
Unprotected sex: July 1
Expected period (for a 28-day cycle): July 5-6

From those days, for you to get pregnant you would have had to be ovulating on day 24 of your cycle, which is very unlikely. My guess is that your trip, the separation from your boyfriend, the stress of the month, the travel, and then reuniting with him has been so much stress that you're just really late. Stress can make us go one week late, two weeks late, even miss a period. Stress messes with our hormones -- even if we are normally very regular -- and the next thing we know, we're off schedule.

Most home pregnancy tests are set up to measure HCG, a hormone that's present in the urine of pregnant women. They generally say that they are accurate within one to five days of a missed period. However, for you, if July 1 was the only day you had unprotected sex, and if you did get pregnant then, I would wait at least another week to try a HPT.

I'm sorta betting you'll get your period by then anyway. Please come back and update us! My fingers are crossed for you.
