Hi Gilver,
It sounds like Susan answered your questions, but I wanted to answer your last one. (You're question "why?" in response to her question: "have either of you taken sex education classes?")

The reason Susan asked, is that some of your questions sounded as though you and your girlfriend were unfamiliar with your own bodies and with how pregnancy happens.

It's very complicated process, but knowing the basics will help you and your girlfriend immensely!

Some of the basics of "pregnancy" and "menstruation":

Why is my girlfriends underwear wet?
Your girlfriends underwear was probably wet from her own vaginal secretions. The vagina becomes moist and wet when a woman is aroused, and acts as lubrication during intercourse.

Pregnant with clothes on?
You can not get pregnant with clothes on. Your sperm is "mighty", but you would be surprised how "fragile" sperm really is! It can only live a short time (minutes, up to an hour possibly) outside of the body (on clothes, for instance). However, when sperm is inside a woman's body and she is most fertile, it creates a very welcoming environment for sperm, and the sperm can last up to 3 or 5 days inside her body waiting for an egg to be released!

When does ovulation occur?
A woman is most fertile around time of ovulation, which is in the middle of her cycle (assuming her period is "regular" each month)

My girlfriend has symptoms of pregnancy...
Pregnancy symptoms do not occur until a woman is 5-6 weeks pregnant (for most women). Some women can have some symptoms as early as 4 weeks, but this is not the norm (especially for young women who are not trying to become pregnant).

How to know if my gf is pregnant?
A woman can not know if she is pregnant with a positive pregnancy test until she has missed her period, and at that time, she is said to be about 4 weeks pregnant (although conception occurred only in the previous 2 weeks, as ovulation and fertilization occurs 2 weeks before a period--this is confusing!).

Other pregnancy signs?
The only way a woman knows if she is pregnant at 4 weeks: a missed period and positive pregnancy test. Sore breasts may be the first clue of pregnancy, as well as problem complexion (acne), but these are also symptoms of a period (PMS). (for others reading: of course, there are exceptions...but this is related to this question specifically)

Is there "pre-cum" on my penis?
Anytime a man's penis becomes erect, there is pre-ejaculatory fluid on the tip of his penis. The pre-ejaculatory fluid may/may not contain sperm (it is best to assume there always is; there is no method to tell either way). If a man masturbates days before, or minutes before, a sexual encounter with another person is irrelevant. If he has another erection, then pre-ejaculatory fluid will appear again on the tip of his penis. Sperm is always present in semen, whether he ejaculates one time a month or ten times a day!

...and lastly...
How to not get pregnant?
Kissing, touching, caressing, holding each other, even "humping" with clothes on...these are all ways to be physically intimate without a possibility of pregnancy. Condoms can be 85-98% effective at preventing an unwanted pregnancy and preventing the spread of STDs/STIs. I'm sure you know this, so be sure to use a condom if you choose to have sexual intercourse!

Hope this information helps!
