I am so thankful for all this info. My poor mom is experiencing puffy red eyes that look like a raccoon- it is painful and looks awful. This happened to her a couple months ago too. After reading the comments we think we have determined a common thing that happened - she was away both times and we believe the sheets were washed in tide. This seems to be the common denominator. I would be so thankful if this is the answer as she has been to the Dr and they really thought it was an allergy-but they did not know what it was to. Will give an update after tomorrow.
