You stopped taking your pills on the 21st, got your period and then had unprotected sex on the 28th while you were still not back on the pill, correct?
Today is August 14th. If you did not get your period at the end of July when it was due, then I would suggest a pregnancy test. By now if you are pregnant, then a home pregnancy test should pick it up-- I don't see the need to wait until the end of this month since you have already missed a period and the sooner you find out the better.
Taking your birth control pills regularly can help prevent a sudden change in your period as opposed to starting, stopping, starting... Good Luck, keep us posted.
