I, too, have been putting off scheduling my annual exams, though for different reasons -- we've just been in this city for 8 or 9 months, and it's been hard to "get around to" finding brand-new doctors in a brand-new place. But I'm overdue for a pap smear and a mammogram, so I need to make it a priority.
It's going to the top of the list, today. Thanks for your post, and I sincerely hope that your friend recovers back to full health after her treatment.
