Mustang Mollie,
Yes, there is definitely a chance of pregnancy when missing multiple pills, stopping them completely, then having frequent unprotected sex with ejaculation. The period you say you had on the 27th could be withdrawal bleeding from missing so many pills, and may be an indicator that you are not pregnant.

Are you trying to become pregnant? If not, why are you not using a back-up method (condoms) after you have missed pills? Did your health care provider talk with you about how to use your pills: what to do when you miss one pill, or 2 or more in-a-row? There are very specific ways to "double up" on pills, and each time you miss a pill, you MUST use back-up method of birth control (condom) to prevent pregnancy. This is stated very clearly in your instruction leaflet in your prescription, and I am very concerned that you sound too young to have the responsibility of taking a prescription medication and unable to follow the instructions...to then choose to not use a condom. I am sorry--I know that sounds tough, but you essentially did not use birth control this month.

When you use hormonal contraception correctly, you will most likely not ovulate (that is one of the ways it works: preventing the release of an egg from your ovary), so it is impossible to know when you are going to start ovulating (if you have not already).

The pill is 99% effective at preventing pregnancy when used consistently and correctly every time; the more pills you miss, the less effective they are. (And, again, the 7 pills you have taken this month do not count as effective birth control). Did your doctor explain that you need to have at least 7-14 days of pills in your system (in-a-row) before having unprotected sex?

Since you are having trouble remembering your pills (every women forgets a pill), please talk with your health care provider about using another type of birth control that does not need to be remembered every day, such as the Nuva Ring.
