This is a great post and a wonderful reminder of what we can and should be doing for ourselves in that afternoon down time. I work at home, so snacking is a danger! Whenever my work slows or I hit a rough spot, I seem to want to check the frig (as if something new and fabulous has shown up in there since the last time I checked!) And when we're in that mood, carbs seem to call to us more than things like fruit and veggies. For those of us who are emotional eaters (me!), a snack like that is also comfort food (and even knowing that doesn't make it easy to steer away from it.) Thanks for your suggestions, may more of us be inspired to turn the 3 p.m. blahs into something that actually makes us feel good!
