Gosh, I wish I could tell you for sure. But it all depends on what happens next.
If you bled just that short time and you have no more bleeding, it might have been implantation bleeding, from an embryo attaching itself to the side of the uterus. But if the bleeding comes back today and continues, it might have just been the start of a period.
Since you said your period is due today (Thursday), it seems like that might have been the beginning. If you go a few more days and see no more bleeding, then I'd still do the pregnancy test and see what it says.
