This does sound frustrating!

I am confused, though. You have been physically examined, and they have not found an actual lump? You were told that you have a lot of mucus build-up, correct?

Did your doctors tell you what the mucus build-up is from? Is it originating in your throat, or from your sinuses?

It would make sense that you can't find anyone to perform a surgery, if you just feel like there is a lump and one is not found. Surgery can not be done to remove the mucus, but perhaps something is causing the excessive mucus. Have you actually tried to find some of the causes behind your symptoms (I must tell you--it just reads as though you have diagnosed yourself with a lump or something being "stuck", and saying "you can't breath" is reading as extreme, and you may not be taken seriously by the medical community??). I'm sorry--but perhaps I am mis-reading or not fully understanding.

Can you tell us your exact symptoms, without the self-diagnosis of a "lump"?
- difficulty swallowing
- difficulty breathing (how often, when, etc)
- feeling that something is "stuck" in throat (where?)
- symptoms for 30 years (have they become better/worse/the same?)
- other symptoms?

What tests have been done?
