It sounds like you are trying to become pregnant, as I assume you are having unprotected sex (and, you mentioned it is on a regular basis)?
What was the date of your last menstrual cycle (first day), and when are you expecting your next period (some women have irregular cycles, others are an average between 21-35 days long)
How long have you been trying to conceive?
How long have you been off of hormonal contraception (if you ever were)?
The important information to know when trying to conceive are:
1. Date of your last menstrual period (LMP)...which is the FIRST day of bleeding (not when it ends). Your OB/GYN will need to know this information.
2. It can take 6-12 months to conceive, and this is considered healthy and normal
3. You have "only" a 20% chance of conceiving each month..did you know this?! I know it seems like the second you have unprotected sex, that you would become pregnant...but it is actually more difficult to become pregnant than you would think!
Basically, once you have missed your period, you can take a home pregnancy test (and, they are very effective at detecting any "pregnancy hormone" once you have missed a period, but are ineffective before this time).
