Your question sounds like you are asking if you can get pregnant after your period (meaning: you had sex after your period), but then reading your description it sounds like you had sex before your period...and then are wondering if from this episode you can be pregnant after your period stops?

I'll answer both of those scenarios for you:
1. Anytime you have unprotected intercourse, there is a possibility of pregnancy. If you have sex at the end of your period, (even though it is at the beginning of your cycle, and many women think they can only become pregnant in the middle of their cycle), there are too many factors that make this unpredictable. These factors include: ovulating "early" in the cycle, and the fact that sperm can live inside your body for 3-5 days after intercourse are all the reasons that women can become pregnant even at the beginning of their cycle.

2. If you had sex before your period, then had a period as normal (and no sex since this time), then having a period is an indicator that you do not have a viable pregnancy. It is actually the absence of a menstrual period that can indicate a pregnancy; bleeding is not a sign of pregnancy.
